Antigua and Barbuda has a wealth of artists and craftsmen whose work can be found in the numerous arts and crafts galleries around the island. Creativity manifests itself in every aspect of every day life, from the pottery to the paintings. Inspiration often comes from the vibrant colours of the landscape, bright reds and oranges of the flowers, the blues of the sea and sky and the gold of the sandy beaches. Nature is the source of much of the material used in the local craftwork, woods, shells and local clay.
